This survey has raised questions about why a recycling center when GDS offers curbside pick up in blue bags. Sandie has an answer:

There are people in Fairview who do not pay GDS to pick up their trash because of cost and so have no simple way to recycle. Additionally, GDS's official position is they will pick up the blue bags of recycling and separate them from the regular trash as long as there is room on the truck to do that. So, when the side blue bag container is full, the recycling goes into the back with the trash.
